uma Schreibgeräte Ullmann GmbH attaches great importance to ensuring that its website is accessible to all people. Our aim is to make the content and functions of our website as barrier-free, understandable, and comfortable to use as possible.

Uma Schreibgeräte manufactures and distributes promotional writing instruments for the promotional products trade. On our website, we provide information about our product range, finishing techniques, as well as our company, corporate philosophy, and strategic direction.

In addition, we offer various online services for our customers. These include:

• a refill shop for ordering uma replacement refills,
• a configurator and online shop for promotional writing instruments,
• and the myUMA system, a platform for promotional goods distributors for information and data exchange.

To further support accessibility, we use the assistive tool Eye-Able^® Assist. This tool enables visitors to adapt the website’s presentation to their individual needs.

Eye-Able^® Assist provides, among other features:

• Adjustment of font size, contrast, and color settings
• Text-to-speech functionality
• Highlighting of links
• Support for reading difficulties and visual impairments
• Improved orientation on the website

With Eye-Able^® Assist, we offer an additional aid that enables many users to access and use our content independently and comfortably.

Our website is already largely accessible in many areas. Content and functions are generally findable, accessible, and usable, including for people with disabilities.

At the same time, we view accessibility as an ongoing development process. Therefore, we continuously work to identify and eliminate existing limitations.

Currently, some content is not yet fully accessible. These include, among others:

• Partially missing image descriptions, which may hinder use with screen readers
• Links without clear or descriptive link text
• Individual audio or video elements lacking proper labeling
• Incorrectly structured lists
• Missing or incorrect language attributes in the HTML on certain pages
• Form fields without labels
• Headings that are not reachable by screen readers
• One page with restricted zoom functionality
• Technically incorrect ARIA attributes
• Links that do not sufficiently stand out visually from surrounding text
• Duplicate ARIA IDs that may complicate navigation

These issues are known and are being addressed as part of our ongoing improvements.
